EPISTEMOLOGICAL HEMERALOPIA

There is, in Shakespeare’s King Lear, a stunning medical condition which is common to a lot of intelligent people on the planet, and which I would call night-blindness, or epistemological hemeralopia. This condition of the mind is not congenital like the physical condition is, and can be treated and cured simply by adjusting the projection of light inside of Plato’s Cave.
