The ontological gap between God and man is infinite, and yet, man is said to have been created in the image of God. Since man is finite, how can that paradox be solved? Nicholas of Cusa spent his entire life investigating that incommensurable gap, as if God had created man for the sole purpose of seeking the nature of His Divinity. This report investigates five short Cusa spiritual exercises showing the pathway of how the human mind can know what he doesn’t know, but should have known.
